Contact Information

You may use our Community Discussion Forums to contact the Guru Mountain DC Team with any questions you have. When you visit the forums, you will be able to browse the public forums, but won't be able to post replies or start new threads until you register for the board. This is a simple process that only takes a couple of minutes to do. We will authorize the account within 24 hours.

At the top of the forums index page, you'll see a REGISTER link. Click this and provide the information requested. You'll need to provide a username that can be your real name, a nickname or whatever you wish to use. We strongly recommend using the same username that you use for the BOINC distributed computing projects. This way, we'll know right away who you are and can authorize you for the board. Don't use anything like xzypqqqrrzzz555996 because we'll assume it's a spambot and delete the account.

You'll also need to provide a valid e-mail address when you register. The server will send a confirmation to that address, and if it gets kicked back because it's not a valid e-mail address, it sends us a notification to that effect. We'll immediately delete the account on the assumption that it's a script-generated spambot address.

Once you register, the server will notify us and we'll authorize the account for access to the forums. We check this e-mail account several times a day, so this won't take more than 24 hours.

If you have any trouble, or the account doesn't work the next day, then contact us by e-mail or phone and we'll get you set up. The information you provided may have appeared to us to be another spambot, in which case we will have just deleted the account without authorizing it. We get spambots trying to register for the board every day and have gotten aggressive with trying to control it.
